Dublin, 28 August 2012 – The European Network on Independent Living (ENIL) is pleased to launch its new website www.enil.eu. The website was redeveloped in order to ensure improved access to information about ENIL’s work and to provide up-to-date information about developments in the independent living of people with disabilities at the EU and national level. It was created with the support of the European Union.
In addition to daily developments and action alerts (Disability Watchdog), the website introduces Role Models – independent living activists from across Europe who inspire others with their energy, commitment and ideas. Under Campaigns, visitors can find more information about the Freedom Drive, ENIL’s main biennial event, with updates about the 10th anniversary Freedom Drive 2013 coming soon. Readers are also invited to visit the Blog, to post comments and to subscribe to the monthly Newsletter. By clicking on Join ENIL!, organisations and individuals can apply for membership, with a special offer of 20 EUR valid until the end of the year.
The new ENIL website will be updated on a daily basis and until the end of the year, two useful resources – the Independent Living Library and the Independent Living Trainers Database – will be added. ENIL will also continue maintaining its second website www.community-living.info, dedicated to the European Coalition for Community Living.
ENIL welcomes feedback on its new website and any suggestions on how to further improve it. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
