On the 18th of June the Pride Parade took over the streets of Oslo for the fourth consecutive year with over 1000 participating. The parade is the largest demonstration of disabled people ever in Norway.
Together we marched from Universitetsplassen to Oslo Spektrum to show the world that we are PROUD, STRONG and VISIBLE!
After the March participants gathered at Oslo Spektrum to enjoy the televised Anniversary Show ULOBA had prepared for all as part of the events related to the Pride Jubileum.
Live Music, a video that reflects the differences between home care and personal assistance and videos with testimonies of work leaders from ULOBA were shown and enjoyed by the public.
In the evening and continuing with the celebration ULOBA hosted an Anniversary Banquet with live music and speakers from all over Europe. ULOBA supporters gathered to celebrate ULOBA’s 20 years of hard work and promotion of Independent Living and Personal Assistance. ULOBA has been and is an inspiration and model to all.
During the banquet the Pride Prize was given to Stine Machlar for her great work in promoting Independent Living.
