The study session will take place in Strasbourg, France from the 21st to 28th of June 2020. This includes 6 full days of programme (22-27 June 2020) and two travel days (21st and 28th June 2020).

Programme:
The aim is to raise awareness on intersectionality, human rights and social inclusion, and to promote them by sharing experiences and developing knowledge and skills related to them.
The specific goals are:
- To understand basic concepts in relation to intersectionality, human rights and social inclusion.
- To share and discuss personal experiences of multiple identities, backgrounds and life experiences and identify ways in which discrimination can be prevented and countered.
- To discuss the role of young people in the prevention of discrimination and hate speech, and the promotion of tolerance and solidarity.
- To develop skills and competences of participants applying intersectionally inclusive youth activities within their communities and organisations
- To enhance cooperation & leadership between young disabled and non-disabled
We will create a safe space to explore these concepts and discuss what they mean in practice. After exploring the concepts, participants will apply them through collaborative activities.
Participant profile:
- We are looking for motivated participants who have experience or an interest in the areas of social inclusion, human rights and intersectionality
- Participants should be willing to share what they have learned in their local groups or communities following the study session.
- The study session will be in English and speech-to-text service (available upon request and needs);
- The call is open to all residents of the 47 member states of the Council of Europe and parties to the European Cultural Convention (Belarus, Holy See, and Kazakhstan). Participants from other countries should contact us if willing to apply.
Participants will be selected based on their application form and the selection team will ensure there is a gender, geographical and organizational balance. The specific needs of a participant are not part of the selection criteria. Therefore, we urge you to be honest and open about your access needs for the study session so we can best accommodate every person and ensure the right support structures are in place from as early as possible.
