International Symposium – Conclusion of the EU-funded Liti-Gate Project
The Liti-Gate consortium is pleased to invite you to the International Symposium marking the conclusion of the EU-funded Liti-Gate Project. The event will be held in person on Wednesday, 29 October 2025, at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), VMA Building, Rue Van Maerlant 2, Brussels.
This conference concludes two years of research, participatory engagement and capacity-building aimed at strengthening the use of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and other EU directives to advance the rights of persons with intellectual and psychosocial disabilities through strategic litigation.
By bringing together legal professionals, policymakers, self-advocates and organisations of persons with disabilities, the symposium will foster dialogue across sectors and provide insights into grassroots needs, legal challenges and best practices for inclusive policymaking.
The programme will highlight:
- Inclusive research methods and practical tools for litigation
- Collaborative advocacy strategies
- Pathways to a more accessible and equitable justice system across the European Union
