In the last decade the disability employment gap has grown. Being barred from employment and income is against the UN CRPD and can lead to poverty, homelessness and institutionalisation. Increased labour market participation could not only ensure social inclusion of disabled people but also reduce skills gaps and improve Europe`s competitiveness and public finances.
Which instruments can improve the access of disabled people to the open labour market? How can the EU use its state aid competences to contribute to this outcome?
In this our newest event on access to employment and income, we will present our new report that brings together many exciting examples of promising practice that can improve the labour market inclusion of disabled people. We will bring together people who are using employment support, civil society organisations and decision-makers.
