Join us in-person in Budapest or online on 20 and 21 November for the “Justice that Works: Leveraging Cooperation and Technology for Children, Disability Rights and Gender Equity” conference! The two-day hybrid event will focus on the rights of children and women with disabilities. Register here to participate.
Organised in collaboration with the Hungarian Child Rights NGO Coalition and ELTE Law School, the first day will advocate for the recognition of equal citizenship for children with disabilities, ensuring they have the support needed to live independent, fulfilling lives as active members of their communities, with the right to make their own decisions.
The second day is centred around recognising and addressing gender- and disability-based violence, with a special focus on ensuring that women and children with disabilities have the support needed to live independently, ask for help and receive support if they become victims of violence. We will highlight the importance of independent human rights monitoring and promising new practices to make justice systems more accessible.
