We are extending an invitation to join an online-event which aspires to bring a new perspective into EU disability policy.
The event will take place on the 4th of December from 14:00 to ca 15:30; online. You can register here.
National, regional and local authorities are heavily subsidising disability services which are segregating and discriminatory with significant financial resources each year. Due its competences on state aid, the EU can to a certain extent regulate the way social services are financially supported. The UN CRPD and the General Comments have so far not been mainstreamed into the acquis on state aid. Our event wants to explore how we can make EU state aid legislation UN CRPD compliant and thereby redirect funding away from services that segregate and into services that create real inclusion.
Register here.
