On December 2nd, from 1 to 3pm CET, the International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC), through its Task Group on OPD Engagement, is pleased to invite you to the first session in the OPD DIALOGUES for Change series on the topic Reshaping Equity in OPD-iNGO Collaboration. ENIL is supporting the session as a member of the OPD Task Force.

This event will spotlight the experiences of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) in Uganda, namely the Uganda National Action on Physical Disability (UNAPD), the Umbrella Cerebral palsy Network Association (UCPNA) and the The Source of the Nile Union of Persons with Albinism (SNUPA) and The National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU) . We will also be joined by a Uganda-based representative of the Dansk Handicap Forbund (DHF).

The panelists will share practical insights and reflections on building equitable partnerships with iNGOs. The dialogue will explore key themes including:

  • Equity and power-sharing in collaboration
  • Inclusive funding practices and sustainability
  • Collaboration models from idea development up to impact
  • Intersectionality and Reasonable accommodations

There will also be contributions by our IDDC Board Member Fredrick Ouko (ADD International) and Chisom Udeze, an expert on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (Diversify Consult).

This session aims to foster mutual learning and promote models of collaboration that are inclusive, respectful, and effective.
