In its recent board meeting, the new Board of the ENIL Youth Network elected its new chair and vice-chairs. As the new chair, it decided to elect Fatma Bulić (Bosnia and Herzegovina), while for the position of vice-chair it decided to appoint both Miroslava Ivanović (Montenegro) and Charlie Willis (United Kingdom).
Below you can read a small intro written by Fatma:
“Dear friends and colleagues.
My name is Fatma Bulić, I am 22 years old and I come from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
For almost five years I have been working at the NGO organization (Information Center for Persons with Disabilities “Lotos”). I am currently working as a project manager. I am actively working with two groups of young people from the area of Tuzla Canton, the groups number over 30 young people. I am working on raising awareness and the importance of the phenomenon of disability and independent living in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, I am very active on the political scene, where I advocate for increased political participation of young people in our local community. I am one of the consultants for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), where I advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities as well as the sexual and reproductive health of women with disabilities worldwide (Europe / Asia and Africa). I am a member of the Youth Assistance Coalition of the organizations of persons with disabilities in Tuzla Canton as part of the MyRight Sweden programme.
As President of the Board of the ENIL Youth Network, in the coming period, I will strive and work to advocate for the rights of all young people with disabilities from all over Europe, speaking for those whose voice is not yet heard.
I hope that with your help I will be able to make changes.
