MEP Marian Harkin, the European Disability Forum (EDF), the European Network on Independent Living (ENIL) and Eurofound warmly invite you to a lunchtime event on facilitating independent living of people with disabilities. The event will take place in the European Parliament in Brussels on the 6th March from 12:00 to 14:00 (Room A-5G1).

The event will see the launch of two key pieces of research into independence and wellbeing for people with disabilities. The first will be a publication by EDF and ENIL on good practice around Europe for fostering independent living and autonomy and preventing the institutionalisation of people with disabilities. The second publication will set out fresh research by Eurofound into the evolving levels of wellbeing of people with disabilities in the EU.

The event will provide an opportunity to explore new findings and to discuss the key messages emerging from the research.

We look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be a lively debate focusing on new findings and innovative ideas in the field of disability.  A light lunch will be served for participants after the event.
