ENIL Youth Network is looking for new Board members, to continue the important work of young disabled people within the European Network on Independent Living – ENIL. Below you will find the call with information about how to join, as well as some reasons on why you should join!
The Youth Network is excited to announce the call for nominations for the ENIL Youth Network Board Members. The current Board consists of 6 members whose mandate ends on 31 May 2025, when the General Assembly and elections for the new ENIL Youth Board will be held (both online). And this time we will be electing 9 Board members!
Being a Youth Board member brings some responsibilities, but also many opportunities for personal and professional development. Among other things, you will have the opportunity to represent ENIL at international events, connect with interesting people and organisations, propose and organise your own Youth Network activities and projects, influence the work of ENIL, represent the voice of young disabled people in Europe and much more.
Youth Board membership is a voluntary position, so make sure that you are able to commit some of your time on a regular basis at a monthly level. Working with other young disabled colleagues is fun and educational, and it is certainly a unique opportunity for every young disabled person to represent the voices of our peers.

The ENIL Youth Network was established in 2012 by a group of young disability activists who took part in ENIL’s first study session in Strasbourg. Since then, hundreds of young people have joined, and continue to do so. The aim of the Youth Network is to provide a platform for young disabled people to engage with youth and disability rights issues at the European level. Through the Youth Network, ENIL actively involves young people in all of its activities, provides them with an opportunity to address policy makers and to represent the organisation at important events and in various fora.
