Portrait of a Woman with brown hair smiling in the streets

Adela works at the intersection of law, policy, and disability rights at European level, with a focus on EU-funded projects, access to justice, and advocacy.

She currently works with the European Network on Independent Living (ENIL), focusing on access to justice, the use and misuse of EU funds, and the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).

Her work combines legal analysis, policy development, and capacity-building. She designs and delivers training programmes on the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and strategic litigation, and contributes to advocacy efforts aimed at strengthening accountability for fundamental rights violations.

She has delivered trainings and presentations at national and European level, engaging with legal professionals, civil society, and organisations of persons with disabilities.

She is particularly interested in ensuring that legal frameworks translate into real, accessible, and effective rights for persons with disabilities, including through accessible justice mechanisms, inclusive legal systems, and structural reforms addressing situations of vulnerability.
