Between the 25th and 27th of September, Nadia Hadad (Board member) and Zara Todd (Senior Advisor) attended the EU Fundamental Rights Agency’s Fundamental Rights Forum in Vienna. Both Nadia and Zara are members of the EU FRA’s Fundamental Rights Platform Advisory Panel.

The Forum bought together over 650 human rights champions from civil society, business, government and the media to discuss challenges of human rights in Europe today. For three days, conference delegates discussed human rights issues affecting Europeans today – from how European Structural and Investment Funds could be used to support inclusion, to the role of arts in promoting human rights.

During the Forum, FRA launched the 10 keys to effective human rights communication.

Zara was asked to represent the Fundamental Rights Platform in the closing panel of the conference, as a representative of civil society. She was joined by Mairead McGuiness, first Vice President of the European Parliament, Emmanuel Crabit, Director of the Fundamental Rights and Rule of Law Directorate at the European Commission, Michael O’Flaherty, Director of EU FRA and George Ciamba, Romanian State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
