ENIL-ECCL Webinar, series on DI. Sharing and Seeking Solutions

This webinar, entitled “Operationalising the new UN Guidelines on Deinstitutionalisation, including in Emergencies – the case of Sweden, Slovenia and Scotland” is part of a yearly programme of sharing and seeking solutions.  Each session has featured a guest speaker and an update from one or more of the countries that we have been following over the past year.

The webinar will take place online, on Zoom, on 22 November 2022, from 14:00 – 15:30 CET. The agenda is available here.

The webinar is organised by the European Coalition for Community Living (ECCL), in cooperation with the Disability Rights Defenders Network. At ENIL-ECCL, we focus our work on bringing together with people actively engaged in the closure of institutions, sharing their experiences, learning together and supporting each other. Disability Rights Defenders is a network of individuals and organisations with an interest in disability rights and disability law. Its purpose is to spread and deepen legal expertise about disability rights among disabled persons, disabled people’s organization, lawyers and law schools.

This programme builds on previous work over the past 4 years to build the ECCL community; in 2021 we held two online events sharing work in a number of countries and hearing updates on progress. This is the third and final event of this year.

Registration for this webinar is now open. Please click here to let us know you will be taking part.

This webinar series is co-funded by the European Union. For information about our previous online events please visit: https://enil.eu/project/european-coalition-for-community-living/
