1. Young Disabled Leaders and the Importance of Being Involved in the Decision Making Process

3. Support our Call for Protection of our Rights #PASNOW!

Organised by the Independent Living Movement Ireland (ILMI)

This event by the Independent Living Movement Ireland (ILMI) will unite to call for protection of our right to access Personal Assistance Services! Join us as we explain why #PASNOW is so important and why you should support this vital ILMI campaign.

4. The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation

Organised by the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation

The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation from conty Bihor, Romania is running a European project for young people with disabilities from the social care system through which we are supporting them to be integrated in society and to develop the necessary skills to live an independent life.

 Through this project they are running a few social events advocating for people with disabilities. One of it is going to be on  5th May 2022, when they are going to present the results of the study “The main steps for an independent life of young people with disabilities from social care system” to the community and public and non-profit representatives key-holders
 Join the event! Let’s promote the rights of people with disabilities from social care system.

5. Live stream of the documentary ‘Deviant Lives’ and Debate about activism

Organised by Centro de Vida Independente, from Lisbon, Portugal.

For the 2022 Independent Living Day, they are also planning two other events:

On May 6th we will debate disability policies with political parties (to be confirmed)
21h on Zoom and Facebook

On May 7th the big Independent Living Day parade, in three different places across the country.
Lisbon – Avenida da Liberdade (Next to Tivoli theatre)
Oporto – Avenida dos Aliados (Next to Oporto City Hall)
Vila Real – Avenida 5 de Outubro (Next to the train station)
