The European Network on Independent Living (ENIL) is pleased to launch a call for participants for an upcoming study visit taking place on 1–2 July 2026 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, hosted by YHD – Association for Theory and Culture of Handicap.

The study visit is organised within the framework of ENIL’s PRIDE project and co-funded by the European Union.


This two-day visit will bring together ENIL staff and representatives of member organisations for exchange, learning, and discussion within the independent living movement. The programme will include presentations, roundtable discussions, and field visits focused on topics such as:


  • Personal assistance
  • Deinstitutionalisation
  • Community-based services
  • Accessible housing

We are looking for 10–15 participants from ENIL member organisations who are actively engaged in independent living and motivated to contribute to peer exchange and mutual learning.


Travel and accommodation costs for selected participants (and one personal assistant, where necessary) will be covered by ENIL, within the limits set by the European Commission.
